Wild Horses of the Namib Statement

The wild horses of the Namib provide a perfect subject matter for my work as not only are they set against the unique and spectacularly dramatic background of the Namib desert, but they lie especially close to my heart as I am a consummate horse lover.

For me, they embody the essence of horses: free, wild, struggling for survival yes, but living in completeness as the space-loving, social animals that they are, above all else.

Proceeds from the sale of these prints go towards the Wild Horse fund, as I believe wholeheartedly that these animals should be protected and aided in their survival – not only so that we may be privileged to view them for years to come, but that they may serve as a reminder of who the horse truly is, and how he deserves to live.
